Blank Screen after boot splash

Followed the guides, cooked a rom and flashed my XV6700. According to BuildOS all went well. When I reset the phone I get the boot splash with "ppcgeeks" and "Helmi_c" at the top, then it goes to a blank screen. Tried flashing again, got error 101. Tried hard rest several times now, tried UNI_ExitBootloader.exe, it worked once, but now the connection isn't recognized at all. HELP!

Re: Blank Screen after boot splash

It's a black blank screen.

FYI, on a fresh install of BuildOS and after updating I get the following errors when I open Lenny's selections:
---------------------------
BuildOS
---------------------------
Required module not in project

Module: Wireless Modem (Wmodem)
Ref: 4c804658-f322-40fd-989c-1394560913fa
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

And then...

---------------------------
BuildOS
---------------------------
Module not found (e9a61473-7d13-4487-9cde-f487b1bd6cb0, HTC ZIP Application)
Module not found (724ad92d-adb6-4229-b4f7-89b30e7c90e2, Windows Live Mobile)
Module not found (6949fb3f-d582-4e5d-9d11-15f960afc045, Windows Live Mobile)
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
When I open Helmi's text file I get:
---------------------------
BuildOS
---------------------------
Module not found (e9a61473-7d13-4487-9cde-f487b1bd6cb0, HTC ZIP Application)
Module not found (724ad92d-adb6-4229-b4f7-89b30e7c90e2, Windows Live Mobile)
Module not found (6949fb3f-d582-4e5d-9d11-15f960afc045, Windows Live Mobile)
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
If I put the phone on the boot loader screen I can flash it with BuildOS and it shows the install progress on the boot loader screen. It always goes to the blank black screen after the boot splash.

Re: Blank Screen after boot splash

So I tried just using the default selections in Helmi's kitchen, and my phone is alive again. Not sure what I'd selected that broke the bank but it looks like I'll have a few more hours of trial and error to get it where I want it. Anyone have some insight on these BuildOS errors?

Re: Blank Screen after boot splash

It looks like you were missing a key module. Or you may have selected a module that conflicted with another. This is quite common and, as you have found, a minimal install usually fixes that. Just use basic diagnostics and slowly and one module at a time that you want. When you hit a problem then you know what modules NOT to install.

Re: Blank Screen after boot splash

I probably have NO idea what I am talking about here but I figure the worst that can happen is you waste 10 minutes flashing another failed result. I was reading another thread where someone was having a similar problem IIRC and it was something called PCM keyboard that was doing it ?? when he removed this the problem went away.

Re: Blank Screen after boot splash

I just installed BuildOS 6.1 and did the update. As in previous post, I get the exact "modules not found" when BuildOS loads.

Is this a bug in the update? Never used it without the update.

Re: Blank Screen after boot splash

That is normal, I get the same message. I just continue using it and it works fine. Maybe pay attention to what modules are "not found" and remove them from your build to avoid flashing problems.
