"Phone is not ready, please wait 15 seconds and try aga

This error keeps popping up when i want to send a SMS or when i even try to access my phone options. i dont know what can be the cause of this error but this started when i upgraded my rom to Helmi's 3.5. maybe i did something? what can be done? please someone help me out. thanks

Did you compile the rom yourself and install, or install it from the Compiled roms thread?

Also, have you tried making sure your SD card is secure?

Battery out, then replace?

Hard reset again?

it was a compiled rom and and i dont know what you mean when you say my SD card is "secure"? but i will hard reset once more and see where that brings me.

Is your phone's radio turned on? (i.e. can you see the signal strength bars at the top of the screen?) What carrier are you with and what radio ROM version do you have (look at start->settings->device information)?

the phone radio is on and the version i have is 2.11.20 WWE and i have verizon. and its the XV6700 if it matters

Check again... I believe radio ROM versions are in the form of 1.x.00. And you are able to make and receive phone calls and get on the internet fine?

You should try using a different ROM. Try one based on AKU 3.3... 3.5 is still buggy.

i hard reset the phone and it worked in the beginning, i then started to download the apps back onto the phone and this happened again, i hard reset the phone again and will test each app and see if one of them is the reason

i jus uploaded the generic smartdial again from the download sections and after i soft reseted my phone (because it needs this to apply) when it finished the start up, i got the error once again. obviously i wont put the smartdail on my phone but i hope this is the real cause of this error
