I had issues with the Palm Treo 750V Messaging app and 3.3/3.5. Not sure if you are using that or not, but if you are make sure you don't copy the files from \Program Files\Palm into \Windows

Wait, so you said smartdial caused this? Can you provide the name of the specific cab file you installed?

If you're talking about the smartdial that is normally built into these ROMs, I would expect you to have problems putting it on AKU 3.5 because the two are not compatible with one another-that's why it is removed from the 3.5 ROMs in the first place.

Sounds like it is causing problems... like I said earlier you would probably be better off with one of the AKU 3.3-based ROMs at this point. Hopefully one day soon we will have a better handle on all the bugs in 3.5.

the smart dialer zip, that you speak of, is that the big black keys by webpatrick, if so yes that is your problem as it has the msvcr80.dll file that is old and conflicts with AKU 3.x

Excellent -- . I too was having that problem, and now that is fixed. Has anybody tried the other "large skin" dialers like the PaulyA and know if that has a problem too with the 3.x ROMs?
thanks
