Dialer replacement - always display keypad?

Hello,

Hopefully I'm using the correct term (dialer). I'm using Helmi's 3.5 upgrade. I want to make it so when I dial a number by hand, it stays at the keypad. Too many numbers these days have number prompts.

I know how to put pauses into contacts so some of my numbers can navigate a prompt but too often I'm dialing a number I haven't dialed before that has a number prompt so I want my phone to always display the keypad when in phone mode.

Thanks

you can use skschema to perform a "watch" so that it will keep your dialpad up, or minimize your phone or whatever. Mortscript might also be able to do this.. not sure though.

Sorry. Check out skschema http://www.s-k-tools.com/

Here's a how-to I made to do it.

http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/526959-post5.html

You will need VJ555's VJKeypress to get this trick to work.

http://www.vijay555.com/index.php?Releases:VJKeyPress

1. Install VJKeypress and create a shortcut from VJkeypress.exe. Using Resco File Explorer right click the shortcut, click properties and go to the shortcut tab. Change the target to :
\Program Files\vijay555\VJKeyPress\VJKeyPress.exe" 112

112 is the keycode to emulate the pressing of the left hardware key.

Hit ok.

2. Using SKSchema create a "WATCH" by following these steps:
a. click on tools; watch. This will take you to the watch screen.
b. click new.
c. Click the watch for and select phone at the top drop down.
d. click the event title and press the button on the top right.. select connect (answer)
e. click the call type and select voice from the top drop down.
f. click Execute and press the button on the top right... select file and find the short cut you made mentioned above with the vjkeypress.

select ok to close skschema. make sure skschema is on watch (green).

When you dial a number out skschema will automatically bring the dialpad back up.
