ppc 6700 with 4G memory card

hummmm....just maybe you have a bad card like the other post stated...since you are having all these problems with the pc also, try and see if you can split it up the 4 to 2, 2g and see if the 67 will read it.

the type of card is a SanDisk MICROSDHC i bought it on sale today in BJ when i put it in my friends pc the memory card shows up but only on the SD adapter when i plug it into the mini sd adapter his computer freezes

No its not the card its the TYPE of card. He said SD HC the 6700 can not READ SD HC

you need to go on ebay $26 and search for 6700 4gb you will find a top ram NON SPEC SD card. IE its 4gb but NOT SDHC. that should work fine.

in wm6.1 kitchen it has an SDHC driver but I have no SD HC MiniSD cards to try I hope it works as I would love to shove an 8gb card in there

how could i upgrade to 6.1 i never done none of that and if it will work when i upgrade then it is not the card

Hmm I am not sure if I am qualified to give that kind of advise. There is an entire thread on it and I imagine someone will have the link though I think its a sticky under the apache section. "basically"

Download the "kitchen" build OS thingy install it. Make sure active sync is installed and working. Open the kitchen program let it run its updates etc.. then pick that helmi default options txt file for starters leave everything stock just make sure A2DP is selected. under bluetooh and hit the ply button. it will do a bunch of stuff and then it will flash your phone. Just make sure NOTHING disturbs this process

If it ends up being not so good you can alwys go back (get the download from HTC the 2.2 update is a full OS flash and will bring you back to sprint stock.

BT Contacts transfer does NOT work in 6.1 so make sure you backup your contacts first either on the SD or with active sync

Get the Kitchen and in build os check the enable "sd and sdhc", its on the list. Im using a 8gb sdhc card in my 6700 and it works great.

If the card work work in numerous types of devices then what makes you think its the ROM in the phone? Get your issues worked out now before trying to go to WM6(.1) because you will have more issues then. The 67 will support SDHC cards when loaded with the proper software. Many have done it although most admit issues with saving pictures taken by the camera. Wm6(.1) still hae some bugs for some people and those are known also. Unless you wanna play guinea pig then I suggest you find something that works for you (for now) and get it where you want it and then think about upgrading.

You are answering your own Qs, even if it DOES work (by some remote chance) then it simply could be a compatability issue.
