Can no one help with this bluetooth issue?

I have a ppc 6700 on sprint.

When I got it first thing I did was squirt the contacts over from my sanyo 8400 paired them worked flawlessly.

I flashed my rom to wm6.1 with the latest kitchen build os thing.

WOW is it nice but I can NOT squirt my contacts over anymore. It just straight up ignores it. NO responce on the PPC at all in any way shape form.

I can pair. I can browse shared folders. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING when I try to squirt the contacts. 100% of the time the sanyo says Connection Failed Device Not Found.

I squirted them to my palm zodiac. Success. From Zodiac to PPC. NOTHING

I tried beaming. The moment I cross beams I get beam disconnected (I guess you can not beam between ppc and palm)

What gives? why is it so stinking hard to get the damned contacts onto a PPC. I will not install outlook. I will type the 52 of them manually before I do that I am sick of buying and installing software. No more.

I have my contacts as VCF and CSV and there appears to be no stinking way to get them into this damned phone short of buying outlook! Screw that. TONS of ways to EXPORT contacts but not one single solution for IMPORTING the stinking things. I spent HOURS googling and searching with NO results.

Has no one else had this problem? Advanced Configuration SAYS OBEX is enabled.

Why can I no longer squirt contacts from my phone ???

I REALLY need help with this. Again every other aspect of BT I have tried works fine. I can log into the ppc from the sanyo and download files. so the BT connection works. It seems like something is broken in the build os created rom where it does not even recognize the contacts transfer any longer.

I went back to stock rom (did it as I was typing this message) - flawless bt squirt did not even have to pair them.

I am going to use pim backup this time but I am also going to try to reflash wm6.1 and see if I can bt squirt them first (this stock rom updated my radio and extended rom ??? maybe that will be some difference ??)

pimbackup is nice no install just eecute from sd

flashing 6. now.....

No Joy new rom running nicely CAN NOT send contacts from my phone. Gives me same Connection Failed Device Not Found Error.

A few times it said refresh services. This worked fine I then went contacts all (also tried just one) I get NO responce from the 6700 AT ALL

sanyo Phone just comes back with that error

WHAT do I do? pimbackup is a band aid I use BT Squirting of contacts quite a lot.

HOW do I make this work? Please folks any help would be greatly appreciated!

I installed most of the bluetooth accessories located at the beginning of the kitchen including the "bluetooth explorer" and "Bluetooth printing"...
Next there is another program or utility that I had to find on the server called "PPC contacts backup" I believe which has a straight executable that you just run and doesn't need to be installed. WM6.0 actually created a program icon for it after I ran it the first time which was nice....
The other progam is "PIM Backup" which has to be installed and which is what I use mostly.
Outlook doesn't work for me at all and I rarely bother with it so I understand your frustrations......
The programs I mentioned are either part of the kitchen or part of someone's OEM but you have to look thru all of them to find the ones you are looking for....

Re: Can no one help with this bluetooth issue?

I got pim backup which works FANTASTICALLY. I really love that program. but this ONLY works if the contacts are already on a PPC.

I want to squirt contacts from any other BT phone like I used to and like worked on the stock rom.

For some reason on this rom it simply does not work. No error PPC side etc.. it just fails. its as if the BT Phone is saying hello and there is no answer from the PPC. Not even a beep.

I am really hoping this is something that can be fixed.

Re: Can no one help with this bluetooth issue?

go back to WM5 and you will have no issues. Others have had issues with 6.1 and the same thing. Or just take it to the VZW store and let them transfer them for you.

Re: Can no one help with this bluetooth issue?

Well I know I can do that but I WANT to stay with 6.1 - so no one knows why its doing this? (Sprint BTW) Pim Backup let me get my contacts but it means I can never "beam" a contact to my phone all future contacts would have to be manually entered. That kinda sucks.

Going back to wm5 means going back to all ITS problems and slowness. This one runs lightyears better.
