and what kinda phone are you talking about? if he holds the power button for a few seconds all its gonna do is cut the backlight off. were talkin about an apache here i dont know what your refering to.

agree i have a 6700 the phone does not charge at all it is pissing me of the only way it will charge is via usb

My bad. Though they had the same function when it comes to powering off like other htc phones I had.

I guess I really dont have any other options sorry.

am just take it to sprint technical do they still haver 6700 or do they give u an upgrade

Yeah, the Apache doesn't turn off, just the screen. The rest of his advice is good. If you have left it plugged in for an hour or more, and you are still having problems, then the battery is probably bad.

yea am going to charge it for the day i just think it is bad when the screen is turning of and on for a while but i got nothing to lose it they cant repair it they give me a mogul 6800 free of charge

also the phone only charges via USB and it only charges when i hit the power button but only charges for like 1 min then the phone restarts again any ideas no matter what i do it will restart i take out the mem card it restarts and plug it out of chargin it will restart no matter what it restarts

also when i click on MAIN battery it shows the battery as UNKNOWN even thow the charger is connected

So if it will charge via USB then everything is fine, if it wont charge via wall charger then go get a new one. Go get you a new battery also if the phone will not 'detect' it or read it. Nothing wrong with trying to get an upgrade though.

yea i don't mind getting the upgrade an i don't mind staying with the phone since ppc 6700 are discontinued
