Smartdialer, USB, ## fixed

I've put together a fully working 3.5 for the 6700 with working smart dialing, full usb functionality, and the ability to use the ## codes directly from the dialpad.

I'm currently testing it and as long as I don't find any undesired side effects I'll have a couple of people test it later this evening or in the morning. If all goes well I should have the package available for download within 24-48 hours.

Awesome! The smart dialing was the only thing holding me back to 3.3.

Great Job.

*As a small note, it's sad to see XDA developer's site get pegged by MS, but it's very cool to see comparable XDA development on the CDMA phones!

Nice work! When you get a chance, please post what you did to solve these issues.

apart from posting the rom please tell us what you did and what registry entries you changed to get those features working for those of us that have already installed the 3.5 rom and do not want to start all over.

or do you guys think taking a backup with spb backup, loading the new rom verizonguy will post hopefully and then restoring the backup will retain all the changes verizonguy made in the rom and at the same time get me all my programs back?

Won't one overwrite the other?

Backup might work, but I doubt it.

Yes. I have tried this on a couple roms- 3.3 and 3.5- and if you restore to a newly flashed rom it will restore the previous one.

Looking forward to your version.
If you need anymore testers, I'm available.
I'm having a blast trying a different rom each day.
I'm also on verizon and would love to have the smartdialing and ## codes.

Update: Everything appears to be working after preliminary testing.

I was originally applying some fixes directly into my rom and some via cabs in my extended rom which is run after a flash/hard reset, so I've been working on moving the rest of the stuff in the cabs into the rom, but am running into some error messages when trying to build the hive files.

As soon as I'm able to figure out the hive conversion I'll have something for you.
