Dear old Apache p***** away last night....

So I took my Apache apart, again, last night in a sad attempt to fix my LCD issue. Somewhere along the line, the MOTHER****ING usb port fell off. Just FELL OFF! As if that weren't bad enough, the battery connecter is acting kind of suspicious as well. I put her back together and poor Apache won't even power on now.

I just watch a seller who has lots of OEM USB ports for sale for the 6700 on ebay.

go to www.digikey.com and search for usb ports. I dropped my xv6700 in water last year and after I spent a week drying it out, I only had the usb port and microphone to replace. The micropone is a silicone type which is only 6.00 dollars at digikey. The usb port was 2.00 dollars there also. the only reason why the usb died on mine was it came loose and I was impatient and used too hot of an iron instead of going to work and getting my good iron.

I don't think it's worth teh time and money to replace the USB if the unit won't power on anyways.... I might try it if I get bored.

@aerospaced, thanks for the warning about the iron heat!
