Open Letter to: Helmi_C, Colonel, IMCOKEMAN, Sfaure03...

This is an open letter to all of the people who have dedicated so much of their time and skill into improving the Apache line of phones and taking from being simply good to being really great devices.

As a technology consultant, I'm always on the lookout for the next techno toy and have recently been on the prowl for a new phone. Since I stumbled into PPCGeeks.com and discovered the ROM updates to 3.3 and now 3.5, I haven't had so much fun with a phone in as long as I can remember. I am in no hurry to replace my 6700, that is for sure.

My 6700 now performs like it SHOULD have all along. The speed increases and other optimizations and addons make this phone truly useful and much more fun.

So, in closing, I want to offer you my sincere thanks and appreciation. Keep up the great work and I look forward to whatever you have in store for us next.

I'm honored to be in that list as well, it's good to know i'm helping out and that it is appreciated. Seriously though where else can i say "WOW I just booted a working AKU 3.5 on my Apache!!!!" and have anyone else understand let alone care about it

I would also like to add my thanks for all the hard work done by some here.

I found this site a week ago when look for an update for my Telecom New Zealand Apache. Since installing AKU 3.3 and 3.5 I have decided to keep my Apache instead of selling it. It really has made the Apache the device it should've been.

I know im sorta late lol, but im glad i found this place, and i can hook up my apache to its limits. seeing as i won't be an early adopter of the new ppc with wm6 and all that, its good to know the ppc can still survive and handle the streets all on its own.

That is so true. I tried to explain to people at work that have the same phone (PPC 6700) that I cooked my own 3.5 rom, and the only guy who remotely had any interest was our IT guy! It is so nice to know that you can always find someone at PPCGeeks interested!!
