Upgraded to 6.1 where did my HTC home screen go?

I have a blank spot on the top of my today screen now. What did I do wrong?

I was having a problem with installing a newer version of HTC Home plugin. Version 2.1 and 2.5 were both doing the same thing on mine, but once I uninstalled them and went back to 1.0 (I guess) then it worked just fine. Might not be an option for you with upgrading to 6.1, but I couldn't get the HHC to bring back my Home part at all, no matter what I did. However, once I removed the updated plugin it worked back like normal. You might have to reflash and try it without as many extra programs.

One thing I've seen alot say is start with the bare bones, then add one program at a time until you find the program that could be causing the conflict. Might work if you do it that way. Hope it helps!

You didn't choose an icon set for HTC Home in the kitchen when you burned the ROM...

I also seem to not have done something correct on the build process. I selected the HTC Home but got nothing on my Today screen for it, even though it's selected in the Today Options, and the HTC Home tab also has everything selected.

I just pulled down the 6 button version of what I believe is the latest version of the HTC Home app with the configuration tool, loaded it and did a soft reset. I still have nothing on the Today Screen.

I removed everyting from loading on the Today screen thinking there was a conflict. What am I doing wrong here.

This is the correct solution. When you are building your rom you can't check ONLY the HTC Home. You MUST select one of the icon sets directly below HTC Home. Original or Color. I recomend using the color icon set, it looks pretty good.
