anyone know of an easy way to disable direction pad on a 6700?

So in the process of writing the thread i was about to start i thought i'd do a quick check... and my dropped call issue was due to the Direction pad being well.. smashed in a little. Turns out if i hit it then i flash my call or drop it.

So that leads me to, does anyone know an easy way to disable my direction pad? Or if its not too hard can i get spare parts and fix it?

thanks
Rich

I had the same problem. I took the phone apart and removed the joystick cover. The switch is still physically there, but it is recessed and the cover isn't always jostling it around. Lowe's carrys a multi torx driver for cheap that ranges from T-15 to T-4. Well worth the investment.

I believe "AE Button/Plus" will disable the D-pad

Does hitting it again re-enable it?
