Vx6700 No P No R

help i have a vx 6700 seems like every other boot i have no p or r

I assume you mean you have no radio on your phone right? Is that what you mean my P & R? Are you talking about on your boot screen or the today screen or where exactly are you talking about? How are we supposed to help you if you dont even tell us what exactly the issue is? Did you buy the phone new or from somewhere else like ebay? How long has it worked functionably? When did it start to fail? What have you done to the device? By every other boot you mean it does work and then you reboot it and it doesnt work or do you have to reboot because it quits working. There is so much MORE info we need other than "help i have a vx 6700 seems like every other boot i have no p or r"

Heck - when I read this I thought you meant the "p" and "r" keys on the keyboard didn't work. Even a tiny bit more info could get you some help faster.

sorry i mean protocal and radio the phone dont work its from ebay i have tried kitchens and stock rom

There is your problem. F*cking eBay. You never know what kind of problems or background the phone has. The keyboard probably has some sort of short. Your options are:
1) Replace keyboard. Not realistic.

2) Get an airbrush and fill it with rubbing alcohol and douche the keyboard. Make sure to remove all power before doing this.

3) Just deal with it. This has been how I have solved my eBay phone issues...

Read a bit more carefully. The KB isnt his issue. He is saying when he boots his phone is says NONE next to where it gives the version numbers for P and R. So basically he has no radio (cellular) on his phone.

Trust me when I say that you need to know exactly what the ebay listing said and did it tell you there were issues with this phone? Did the seller mention anything about ANY part of it being non-functional or AS-IS for any reason? If so and if you knew this and/or didnt pay full attention to the listing then you are screwed. However, if the seller sold it to you under false pretenses then you need to get back in touch with the seller and try to work it out. If that doesnt work then file a claim againt him on ebay and Paypal if you used it.

Once the radio is gone, its gone, this is now a hardware issue. The most you bought was a functional PDA with no cellular usefulness.

Just cause he bought i off ebay doesnt make it the problem, it's the person who bought it (usually, not always or saying it's him himeself) that are usually the problem and don't read, like when people by a $300 phone for $5 and think they're getting a deal when it's a dummy phone and says it right on it. I have bought many phones on ebay, including my 6700, and have not had one problem, but I always look and se there feedback, read everything on the page, ask questions if I'm not sure of something, etc.

OMG @ weedahoe, I am such an R tard. LOL. The issues with MY eBay phone aren't catastrophic. It has been well loved. I got burned on the other 4 or so phones that I purchased on ebay, the Apache is the best one I have gotten.

As far as the radio, flash to WM 6.1. Then go find a 1.41 radio flash and give that a try. If that doesn't work, try other radio updates. It is faster than re-flashing EVERYTHING and you can try different radio software.

Q) How can you install something when it doesnt exist.

A) You cant.

If there is a hardware issue there is nothing to be done but replace it.

But sounds like the radio shows up once in a while? Could he try upgrading the radio when it does show up? I dunno.
