IDTransfer and 3.5

Has anyone gotten IDTransfer to work with 3.5? I keep getting an error of it not being able to load from assembly Microsoft.WindowsMobile.Status, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=nuetral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35

colonel, I am running 3.5 on a vx6700. What are you referring to as "IDTransfer" I would like to help you out here. The only issue that I have found is when making a new sms message the before with the 3.3 and older ROMs it would pop up with a list of names close to the characters you have typed and you could select the one you wanted. In 3.5 you start typing in to then you have to select menu then check names which is a inconvenience. Oh well I am sure this will be fixed with a simple reg hack.

I haven't been able to get it to run at all. It kind of bothers me because I can't find another way to transfer my announcements to my bt earpiece anymore. It sucks. Any ideas?

IDTransfer is an app written by Bad Sector that allows the announcement for incoming calls from Voice Command 1.6 to be played through the BT headset. So, when you get a call, VC announces who is calling through the headset. I guess I will try to contact Bad Sector and see if he has any insight as to why this is happening.

Well it works on mine. But I find it rather annoying. I am using 1.6. in VC1.6 I am using a plantronics 640 bluetooth earpiece. This is what I have set and it works. In the Voice Command settings menu enabled and password protected are checked. Under phone then options confirm when calling by name is checked, confirm when dialing by number is checked, and announce incoming calls is checked. Under phone notification options I have announce notifications using bluetooth hands free only selected and the check box that says only during free time. Now this works 100% for me but the "Only during free time" does not work well. When I get another incoming call when I am on the phone it announces the other caller when I am on current conversation.

Hope this helps,

Mike

I have the same settings checked EXCEPT the password check box. I have been using IdTransfer through 3 or 4 different roms and have never had a problem. Now I switch to 3.5 and it won't even run. I am trying to figure it out.

Which 3.5 rom are you using? Have your tried to select password protect box and then try? It works perfect for me. Issues I have found with this rom is that I had to change the wav priority256 to 75. The windows media player was skipping like mad until I changed it. Also I have to change my suspend dword value to 0010000 so the bluetooth stays on. Otherwise everything else is allright.

Why would IDTransfer even be necessary, seeing as MS said that VC1.6 would announce over BT with AKU3??? Am I missing something?

They say it will, but it won't on my 6700. It starts to, but then reverts back to the speaker on my phone. This happens even with the announce only through earpiece box checked.

Verizon and IDTransfer

Mikee4fun,

I'm running the same saridnour rom on my vx6700, I've checked that my VC settings mirror the ones that you've listed and I'm still getting the error message. I've gone to the MS download site and tried to install the latest .net cf2 sp1 but get a error ... must remove previous prior to proceeding with install. Maybe saridnour's rom has older version of .net, did you make and modification to his install prior to your upgrade?
