PPC 6700 SD card issues now

Ok, I was having trouble because my phone would not receive any calls, called sprint and they had me hard reset and then they reprovisioned my service. I can receive calls now, but now about every 30 minutes I get a pop up saying that an SD card was inserted and do I want to search the card for picture or video. This is so aggravating. What is going on now? Is there a way to fix this? This never happened before the hard reset. I know I read something about this somewhere, but I can not find it doing a search...I must be wording my search wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

Which version of what software are you using?

I'm so excited that you get to experience some wonderful updates and additions to your phone! -if you so choose to.

The build you are using for windows is AKU 2.0, which is officially 1 update "out-of-date".

Specifially your problem could be (in my opinion) either or both of,

1: Your SD card is broken/dirty
2: Your windows is having problems (more likely).

I'd suggest upgrading to Sprint Aku 2.2 for starters.

There are more recent updates that have not been released by Sprint available here on this website.

These are cooked roms, and are not supported by sprint or microsoft. But they work perfectly!


Also, you may want a PRL update. You can simply call *2 and ask for you account to be flagged.

Wait for the voice prompt, then say "PRL UPDATE"

Finally, there are some other upgrades that you can do, but I would suggest starting with the Sprint Update, then moving to PRL updates.

These instructions are in the readme, as well as all around these forums.

Note: This will delete all of your contacts and saved emails. Make sure to back up everything. You can sync it using activesync and get back contacts/emails/ect.

1ownload it to a computer that is already set up to link with your Device.

2: Install and follow prompts.

3: Reconnect and sync.

now this is what my ppc says

You are still on 2.0 (not sure if he gave you the link to 2.2 or not). You can tell the current rom version by the digits at the end of the build (2.0.0). Many of us are now running custom roms that are aku 3.3 or 3.5 rather than aku 2.0. I don't recall whether Sprint released an official 2.2 update or not, so you should check around.

Nope - sprint is 2.0 with some patches provided in the Extended Rom.

Edit: that's not the latest rom/radio on the utstarcom site... it's
