If you read the other thread, you will see that Helmi was upset when someone previously excluded his name from the title of a kitchen created rom file/thread, inasmuch as it was his hard work that created the kitchen. In fairness to Helmi, it is a very small request that his name be included in the file's name, given all that he has brought to this community.

In contrast, if you create a rom using the old Mike method (i.e. Saridnour and Colonel), then it is fine to exclude Helmi's name, because his kitchen was not used to create it.

Thanks.

Thanks.
If you look at my first post you will see that in bold I did recognize Hemi from day one. I ALWAYS give credit where credit is due. It is not mine to take.

Helmi's specific complaint in the other thread was not having his name in the file name and also not havhing his name in the thread title. You have done neither. The last thing we want to do is piss Helmi off, so I'd appreciate your correcting this. Take a look at the IMCOKEMAN thread if you want to see specifically what Helmi complained about. IMCOKEMAN changed his thread title and his file name after Helmi mentioned it. IN fact, you will note that IMCOKEMAN's 3.5 kitchen does not even have his name in it at all, only Helmi's and PPC Geeks.

I see Helmi's point. By not having his name in the title of the thread or on the file name that is being downloaded, he is not getting credit for his work. I hope you see the distinction. I'd hate for us not to get a crossbow kitchen when it is ready as a result of Helmi's feeling slighted.

You certainly can put your name in the title, but Helmi requested this format:

HelmiApacheKitchen3.5AlwaysBeliever1 or something to that effect. Take a look at IMCOKEMAN's titles to his files, etc. on the ftp for specifics.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks! By the way, congrats on all your progress with the kitchen. Yesterday or the day before you were having trouble building one, now you are at the point where you are able to help the masses! GREAT JOB and keep up the great work!

As i understand it a ROM created from the kitchen does not need to have the special filename. The specific complaint i recieved was because i was distributing helmi's full kitchen with a few changes and due to my ignorance did not follow the kitchen naming standards. If it is just the ROM as long as credit is given in the post i think that is all that is required. When i made my mistake i did my best to understand what the protocol was, but i hope someone will correct me if i'm wrong

I'm sure helmi_c will appreciate the gesture and maybe he should be the one to clarify this once and for all though.

My understanding was that he wanted any rom created with his kitchen to have his name in it, but maybe I'm wrong. I agree that it would be nice for Helmi to clarify, because one thing is clear, nobody wants to intentionally offend him. Until Helmi clarifies otherwise, though, I would suggest we just put include his name, we can't go wrong that way! Better safe than sorry!

one other question with Helmi-Alwaysbelieve1 3.5..

Hey Always, I had another prob with the inability to use the sprint ## codes. I hard reset and still was unable to use the codes. Anyone else have this problem? I have since switched to the Colonel 3.3 beta 3. Still has the problem with the SD card using up excess RAM and the problem with the duplicate notifications which the 3.5 of yours did not have.

I will be watching for your next improvements or suggestions.

thanks a lot!
