Re: print to file app

You could use SnagIt to save it to any type of image format you want

there are many freeware and paid for type apps out there that will allow you to take screeshots in an image format of whatever is on the PPC screen.

thanks for the suggestion but that wouldn't quite do it either. I programmed my ricoh mf laser to relay internet faxes. It polls its pop3, extracts tiff attachments and faxes via traditional lines to "fax#1234567" from "to" field in regular email.

I opened a ms word fax template /w letterhead I use in my DT on my ppc and noticed I can make alterations.. was just tring to send custom mobile faxes with letterhead from my ppc with that setup. Thanks again

You need a handheld PC, not a PPC. Seriously.

Re: print to file app

Along the same lines, (printing) does anyone know why HP abandoned the "hp mobile printing" app? I used to use it back in the ppc2002 days. This PIEprint app looks cool but it only seems to print from IE, that and the $24.95 price make it a PASS for me.

I'd like to be able to print acrobat and office dox from my PPC through IR, bluetooth or even wifi. Is there anything out there?

I got a fujitsu p1610 allready, for now not looking into buying any of those smaller umpcs until they integrate cel phone functionality.. it would be pretty foolish to carry around my xv-6700, a umpc and the p1610.

With a tif document in my ppc I allready managed to send it to the fax via internet and have it then relay it to a regular fax #.

Still would like to be able to make my own tiffs and not have to use the fujitsu if possible.

Re: print to file app

found this app that supposedly sends simple text faxes and voice messages {from typed text} to landline phones.
