If both computer's .pst files are local (not Exchange), you might have to delete both. However, if you suspect one computer more than the other, start the new .pst there first. You can keep your old .pst file -- just make the new one your primary. If the new one syncs OK, you copy the individual items from the old contact list to the new one. This should not corrupt the new .pst.

In my case, I had a good contact list/calendar on my PDA prior to getting the error message. Once I started with a clean .pst on my PC, I was able to sync from the existing good contact list/calendar on my PDA back to my computer. I haven't had any problems since. This might be another way for you to get your items back without having to recreate them by hand.

I have the exact same scenerio that one of the other posters had in this post (using exchange for work, pop for home, synching 2 machines..work and home). what's interesting with mine is that it syncs fine until i add the exchange server source in (im doing this at home right now).

I guess i will try to delete my PST to see if that works....
