how do you install a mini usb to the xv6700

I just got a xv6700 but the mini usb was busted so i got a replacement but i dont know how to install it.
anyone have a link or something that i could use?

I assume you mean the jack in the phone. look for some "solder weld" or silver-bearing paste. I'm not sure if they still carry it, but radioshack's sku is 64-029.
I used this on my sprint 6700 with the original jack.. it worked long enough for me to flash back to oem rom and have sprint "fix" it.. (that's how i got my mogul)

yeah...well i opened up my phone and idk how to even get to the usb without breakin the darn thing..i dont have a map

..and there is no instructions out there on the web.
but oh well.. I guess ill take it in to verizon or something.
any good suggestion as to what i should say to get a replacement or new phone?

there are a ton or threads here and out on the net on how to take apart the 6700. Look at this thread here for example.
