I need to flash from sd card.

USB went bad in a really bad time. I'm stuck in bootloader. Rumor has it that someone out there might have a file, from another apache, essentially containing some version of wm to flash onto my phone from an sd card. The phone is vzw...

Can anybody help me? I'm pretty desperate.

Where did you hear this rumor from? I have a link that you can flash from a card (although Ive never tried it) but if you are stuck in BL then I dunno know if it will help. WHen I get to work in the morn I will try to post it for you.

So basically I just need someone to create a 'backup' for me with said program, they can copy the file, I can put it on my storage card and then flash my device?

Would it be good for them to be running the same os (helmi's wm6) as I was running?

Is there anybody up for this task?

I can create a cloned ROM image that you can put on a card and will autorun BUT when the card is inserted you will need to be out of BL mode for it to work

So, basically, if my usb really did go out while in bl.... I'm simply screwed with this device?

I'm just not in the position to buy any new ppc... and will spend any amount of hours trying to fix it. I'm just not that smart with computer type things. Another thought.... If I understand correctly if the device sits without a battery for an extended period of time will it.... help my situation? I.E... will it forget that it was in bootloader and flash on it's own?

That is a very good Q. I dont know if it will work but I do know I have seen lose ALL memory if the batt was completely dead and the internal failed also.

I could really use a verizon stock image that will boot off of my sd. Weedahoe?

I tried unsuccessfully using another xv6700 and mtty to create a rom image

I was going to try using wireglue to put the usb connector back on the motherboard, but i'm supposed to send the unit back to verizon with a broken usb port. (I already have the replacement) I only have a few days to get a factory image on this device.
