Can't Connect To Computer!!

Okay,

So I bought my apache off ebay a while ago....whatever. I put helmi's kitchen on it..it's sweet. However, when I try to connect it to my computer it does not sync properly.
I have both xp and Vista and have tried both. In vista it connect to the wireless manager or whatever, but fails to sync completely leaving me no way to get my contacts and other information. In xp I downloaded active sync and it really doesn't work at all...Can someone help me? I feel like an amatuer here and I"m really not lol...

Thanks
elementman

Re: Can't Connect To Computer!!

Just a question. Are you trying to sync using Activesync? In Vista, you still have to download and install Activesync's renamed equivalent Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC). You must have these if you flashed your ROM. Let us know what is happening. I've had no problems with AS4.5 or WMDC by USB or Bluetooth. Also, there is a whole forum devoted to it here if you want to see:
http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsM...1762&SiteID=65

Advice is usually delete mobile adapter and USB connection in device manager/redetect, remove/remake partnerships with reboot of both device and PC, uninstall/ reinstall AS/WMDC, hard reset device, etc....

Re: Can't Connect To Computer!!

I agree, delete the partnership on the phone and uninstall AS v4.5 from the PC, then reboot both the PC and the PPC, reinstall AS on the PC and conn PC to PPC via USB and see what you get. I assume you have Outlook on the PC BTW. This is all for XP. Vista is a PITA in all aspects. I removed it off both of my laptops and went back to XP.
