Can not manually switch to roaming (Verizon) on Sprint 6700?

Remember how you could go to Settings... Phone... and then select either Auto, Sprint, or Roaming.

The option for that is not there anymore. I am using the standard AKU 3.3 with a PRL update of 225.

I spend a lot of time in an area where I need to force my phone over to Verizon. So I need to have the ability to force the phone to Roaming for voice communication.

Please help.

Wait did I screw up with the extended ROM guide in the wiki document?

It said to run the list of CABs provided (like 17 or so) in the extended ROM. And then it said to move every single file out of the extended ROM, and over to the SD storage card. That's exactly what I did.

I used Total Commander to do it. So now my /extended_rom directory is empty. Did I screw up??

I just need the old "Services" screen back under phone options. I need to be able to force to Verizon at certain times. Thanks.

It should be in Customize_SPCS.sa.cab. Try installing that one again and see what happens.

You were right, that was indeed the CAB.

For some reason I must have missed running that one on the setup. Anyway, I ran it, did a soft reset, and now I have my Roaming only option.

Thanks again.
