Phone locking up when trying to answer a call

Does anyone else have this issue with a VX6700 and Helmi's 3.3 ROM? At least once a day the phone will lock up when I hit the answer button to answer a call.

Also, does anyone else have an issue with the phone not even ringing and going directly to voicemail? or when you try to make a call a little box appears telling you the phone couldn't complete the call?

These seem to be the only two issues I have with the phone so far, but unfortunately they are bad enough to have me revert to 2.2 for the time being and see if the issues persist.

You guys should try any of the custom 3.3 roms by Colonel, Saridnour, etc. Their customs deal with a lot of issues including the ones you guys are talking about. I had that rom so long ago and cant remember any of the issues it really had apart from pic & vid hang and a few others. Also helmi_c's rom was basic like it came from a wireless provider and that was just to see if it would work on the apache. The custom ones have taken into account the kind of speed needed, registry tweaks and hacks, programs that should have been installed with the apache that we install after hard resets have been installed in the rom itself. Indulge in one of these and you can maybe get your voice heard in getting the kind of customization that you would like on your ppc.
Dont be afraid to take the next step, You are already there.

naigaboy,

I did try the colonel 3.3 rom, the only thing with some of these ROMS are so heavily customized there tons of things built in I don't want and/or need. But they are setup as the default apps for many things. Meaning I have to go back and regedit a ton of things to get everything back to default.

It would be really nice if there was a baseline ROM that included all the fixes and basics (.net CF 2, BT fixes, etc.) and then we can add problems into the ROM from there.

Try IMcokeman or Yuma6700 kitchen roms. Those are baseline roms with .netcf2, BT fixes, and all the other fixes. Or you can start your own roms. But there are multiple baseline roms out there now with instructions on how to put in your programs. search through the thread a bit.

I'm using Hemi_C's AKU3.3 and it will crash on an answer fairly commonly, but It only does it on at the site that i talk about in my "To hell with sprint" colum in my blog. So I allways thought it was related. I dont have any custom ringers.

I am having the same issues. I think it happens to me most when my phone is off (power button pushed) and the password screen is on and also when Wisbar is running(advance and desktop). Do you guys use the password screen much? I just don't want someone to eventually use my phone if it was taken or stolen. I am going to remove the password from the phone and stick with the device lock. We'll see what happens. I will post my results in a few days.

Oh...I am also using helmi's OG 3.3 ROM.

I am having the same issue. I havent had is today, but the lock ups do occur quite often and leave me with no choice but to reboot. I installed in my wifes PPC-6700 and the same issue occur. Any ideas?
I have added any customs ringers or such to have the OS error out.

I with the thought of a clean, useful ROM with no extra stuff other than fixes and such. I hate the included trial stuff....
