Re: Mms Help
this is assuming that you have already loaded the arcsoft mms program onto your phone.. if not you will need to do some searching to find it... but since you said you were having problems getting it to download pictures,, im going to assume you have it on there.. so here you go...
go to Start/settings/connections/connections/advanced/select networks once you get in there then click on add new modem connection and name it Cricket WAP and the modem should be Cellular Line and press next on the next screen put #777 and click next enter your User Name is yournumberwithareacode@mycricket.com and passwork is cricket and click finish now go to proxy settings and check both boxes and write wap.mycricket.com on proxy server now go to advance and write wap.mycricket.com on the server and 8080 in the port(do it in all 4) now click ok until you go back to network management now on the second one click new and name it Cricket mms and celular line and click next do step 5 & 6 again. now you are done with the connections settings For the next step you will need a registry editor You can find phm regedit for free or use resco registry editor from resco explorer pack,, they have a demo open it and go to Hkey Local Machine/software/arcsoft mms ua/config/mm1/wspheader look for these strings and make sure they say this,, if not then edit them to be like this.... Accept Application/vnd.wap.multipart.related Accept-Language en User-Agent Arcsoft/MMSUA/v3.0 X-Cricket-MDN your phone number(you might have to replace sprint to Cricket) if you missing some of them, go to edit/ new string and if there are other stuff on there besides those 4, delete them Now go back to Hkey Local Machine/software/arcsoft mms ua/config/UI find EnableServerEdit and change it from 0 to 1 now you need to soft reset your phone... now go to your messages and click menu/MMS configuration and then click server and click add new,, add new or if you already have one called verizon or something,, just click it and click edit... you need to change/input these settings into it Server Name Cricket Gateway leave blank Port Number 8080 Server address http://mms.mycricket.com/servlets/mms Connect Via Cricket MMS Sending limit (your choice) Wap version Wap 2.0 once done with this it should work like a charm... Hope this helps homey,, if you got any questions feel free to holla ...

Re: Mms Help
#778 or w.e. to get into the EPST of the phone. Go though the menus untill you find the MIP settings. Change the MIP to: Simple ip or Simple IP Only. Then save settings and try to connect to the net again.

Re: Mms Help
Yeah I cant get my mms to work either......but im also having a weird thing with my text messaging. I dont get a number or a name when I get text from people....so I dont know who it is sometimes when they send and if I try to reply it doesnt send unless I go to contacts and select a contact. When people reply the message for example starts out with (Conversation with Ya
ya(5:12 pm) half way through.....etc. It just starts out with whatever they start the text message with.....If someone could help that would be great. thanks PLURAL |

I struggled with this for months till i stumbled on the solution. Internet explorer is whats stopping you.
Use a registry editor i prefer Total Commander and go to registry->HKCU->Software->Microsoft->Windows->CurrentVersion->Internet Settings Once here delete the connections folder. Next go to MMS Configuration, which is located in the text messaging window just click menu in the lower right and select it. then the servers tab and click on what should read Cricket MMS. Then ensure your port is 8080 (the person who flashed mine set it to just 80). After youve done this just soft reset the phone and you should be able to receive mms messages. This should be the only thing left to do as long as all your other settings are correct which have already been provided to you in previous replies. Now to avoid any further problems or having to repeat this you will need to install a different internet browser and make sure to change the hotkey, Otherwise the second PIE opens youll need to go delete the registry and soft reset again. |

Re: Mms Help
just a thought...
IE sets a proxy detected string, that overrides the connection setting proxy. delete the connections key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Internet Settings\Connections and change the value of HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Internet Settings EnableNegotiate to 0 IE sets up a static proxy, but cricket uses a dynamic prox setting the value EnableNegotiate to 0 tells IE to use your proxy setup instead of making its own |
