Disabling that damned connect balloon

Anyway to disable the connect balloon when it's connecting to the internet? It's annyoying as hell. (I do not want to disable the connection itself, just the balloon) Any tips would be welcome

If you make the 'aways connected' registry change, you don't see the balloon - but then you're always connected (slight battery hit)

HKLM\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers\7C4B7A38*\Connections\ Broadband\Always On (change Always On Dword to "1")

Unfortunatly when a call comes in, I tend to get disconnected and it keeps retrying the data connection (especially in a 1x area) Already tried that...:-/ gotta be another way.

Ah right - if you are in a 1x area you are not going to be able to do much with it.

anybody can find the registry entry that "automagically" turns that on, we'll imbed it into the sprint customizations package for new kitchen roms.

Cause I hate that *&#$ thing, and while i knew where to set it, rather that reset it everytime i reflash i growl and whine each time it comes up.

would be great to remove it for every flash and/or hardreset.

does ANYBODY think its useful in any way? me thinks its there cause the "marketing" geeks want to strut their stuff that you're "connected" to the internet..

And now with direct push, thats effectively like my cable modem at home saying "yer connected to the internet".

And my answer to it. Umm.. DUH and it better be or its taking a swirl in the porcelin god.
