Sending/receiving texts with pictures?

i'm having a similar issue.. i have 6.1 Rom loaded on my VZW 6700 and send receive normal texts fine. but MMS it won't say there's a new message or anything until i send or receive a regular text, then all of a sudden it picks up that i have new MMS that need to be downloaded. and the thing is in the MMS mailbox (using the arcsoft mms) it says i just received the MMS yet the sender sent it a day or so before. (i don't text that often... its not football season. no need to text. hahahaha)
