Too weird. It was pretty consistent. I tried several builds and the only commonality was that if the dump folder and the two boot files were more than 64MB, the device never got past the second splash screen. Do you have a lot of redundant files that actually only get stored once in ROM? For example, the builds I tried with both Spb Diary and Spb Weather informed me that spbservices.exe was already in ROM and would be skipped.

I made a pile of OEM packages and put them up on the FTP... they all start with

J_

you may see some duplicates, they are ones that were on the FTP that i could not get to work so i redid them and/or changed some stuff around. There is a very small description in each folder of what it is. Im not real sure of the rules so if any need to come down, PM me and ill delete them from the FTP. Some packages I am having an extremely difficult time with

Phonealarm, VoiceCommand, Calendar+,

if anyone has insight on how to get these working as OEM packages please let me know, or if you have ideas ill try them and burn a new rom. Thanks for your support.

Just put a working VC up. At least it works for me. Just put your own VoiceCmd.exe in the file and cook the rom.

Ok lazybones finally uploaded some OEMs

in /Apache/SchettJ_OEMs/

AM Tasks+ Today Plugin
AlarmClock
MohairSoft Calendar+ Today Plugin
Seigleman's Launcher
Smartskey
TodayTime

All tested and working - note Smartskey and TodayTime are edits of existing OEMs - not original. All apps should end up with a link in Start\Programs unless they're Today Items.

All freeware.

Enjoy

Remember that the files are compressed (if they can be) using LZX going into the imgfs partition. That is partly why it's tough to nail down an exact number. It might be that a compressed dump folder could give you a more realistic estimate.

Most of the times I get stuck, I get a splash with a task bar at the top. When this happens I know that in all probability, my initflashfiles.dat is somehow hosed.

I have gotten a "White screen of non birth" on bootup and figured that I had put in too much and corrupted some of the files\bits during compression.

I don't normally waste bandwidth on this kind of stuff but I want to thank the OEM contributors. Despite what others may think Im very appreciative and willing to do whatever I can to help the library.

Thanks

Colonel: I am assuming the answer to this is "yes", but just wanted to confirm, did you resolve the bluetooth issue you were having with VC in the OEM you put on the ftp?
