Well foo... it really should be working now ImCoKeMaN.

assuming it isn't working, you should just need to install

Cert_SPCS
Cert_SPCS.ca
Customize_SPCS.sa

cabs to get #777 working after a hard reset.

I guess I'll look into converting the xml into reg entries. It's a straight conversion, I could probably write a script and be done with it.

Yes I am SURE it worked for me. Indeed I was soo pleased with it i rebuilt my extended rom and removed all the sprint cabs from it, replacing with my email setup and a couple tweaks. I'll even go fetch it.

After that I reflashed again, and hard reset 4 times. each time it worked flawlessly.

IM. I was still using you're original OEM. The only difference between you're distribution was that I re-added MSN, and copied in shettj's directory.

Like I said, I rebuilt my ext_rom and reflashed it. Its truly great cause now that "customization" takes all of about 1 second to complete...

The config text off the phone now reads:

LOCK:Enabled
SHOW:\Extended_ROM\Sprint_LogoPPC.bmp
CAB: \Extended_ROM\greatnates.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\apachehax.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\shawnInfo.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\intvEmail.CAB
LOCKisabled
RST: Reset

the last two are my personal data. Not no way its the sprint cabs fixing this.

I just downloaded IM's repost/renamed cabs and will reflash that with shettj's module again today. By the way IM, you might want to remove yer backup directories from the image.. snigger.. Makes downloads take longer, but i'm not really whining.. Its still a d*mn sight faster w/ the new ftp server clap, clap, clap......

Can you search for all files in your kitchen for "cert" and see what you find?

Also search for .provxml

For me, there are several cert files installed in a provxml (helmi) in 3.3, and there's no easy way to get certs into the rom without using .provxml files (which is what I'm using, and which installs several Sprint certs along with making the reg settings - I am thinking that you have to have the certs in for the device to connect...)

Also note that there are several .provxml files in the 3.3 kitchen and it surely would not work if they were not working.

Well, i think the certs are installing without an issue because all i ran just now was the customize cab and it put the entries in for vision. If i remember correctly that one won't work without the certs. The HTC bat icon is still there too though (yes i know i can run the cab for that or make the reg entry myself too )

sfaure03,
What backup directory did you want me to remove from the zip file? i tried to clean it up before posting it, but i could easily have missed some with all the ROM folders I have on my comp at the moment

its not a "big" deal nor anything to worry about, but you have a zip of Apache3.5wUSBproblems.zip in the Flash utils directory.

Ahh so that's where the extra 32meg came in!! I'm definitely fixing that! There will be a brief outage of the 3.5 kitchen as i do this because i'm going to delete and readd with the same name.

Edit: nevermind it only changed the filesize by 3megs somehow. I'll keep it out of the next version still, but don't need to reupload for that small gain.
