Backing up Contacts - Page 2

I'm not familiar with Vista and WM device center. I use a USB cable attatched to my phone and browse my phone through "my computer" or I use a USB card reader with the microSD adapter.

ok...i used my old xp laptop to sync it...then send executable file over...thanx for tips everyone...

I also have a new thread on MMS messages dissappearing in WM6. I just upgraded to WM6.1 and the section/option to view mms is gone... any ideas?

Yeah I use PIMBackup also and love it. I have it set to do a scheduled backup every other day. With Vista (I hate Vista BTW) and WMDC you can start WMDC and then connect the phone, it will detect it and give you a screen like this where you can choose the File Management (Explorer) and copy and paste the file over to the PPC and then run it off the PPC

Got it working...awesome...thank you guys.

Now... lol. Anyone know the fix for the MMS issue?

I can't find a definitive fix.

I have verizon...

Like, is there a seperate MMs program that will handle them?? that I can easily install on my phone...

dont know about that one as I dont bother paying that repulsive amount to VZW for a data plan. I use WiFi and Gmail.

If that worked great for you, then this app will make things quicker and easier. Since alot of the freeware apps are using 2d bar codes. I have this and it makes things much easier and faster. And it's fun. T M Z

What I like to do is use mail2web (( http://services.mail2web.com/FreeServices/ )) It is free push email... Any changes to your calendar or contacts is updated on their server... I have had to hard reset my phone will out and about running errands before and I use the mail2web to instantly reinstall all my contacts and calendar info.
