Re: Need Help!!!!
I'm gonna move this to the 6700 forum. You'll get better response there and you won't have to "bump" your own post.

Re: Need Help!!!!
You can start by going here and gething your Sprint OEM ROM.
From there you wanna do a hard reset first by pressing both 'minus' keys on the from of the device and pressing and holding the reset button in the bottom of the device for a few secs. This is prompt you to press "Y" on the keyboard to comfirm what you are doing. This reset everything back to factory settings and clears all personal settings. If you havent gotten ActiveSync yet then go here and DL it. After installing it, take the PPC and press and hold both the power button and the record button at the same time and continue to hold them while pressing the reset bottom with the stylus on the bottom of the device. This is put you in a BootLoaded mode. The backlight will not be on and you will see Serial at the bottom of the screen. If you connect the PPC via USB to the computer the screen will change a slight bit to USB. From there run the .exe of the ROM you DL'ed earlier and and follow the prompts. Thats it. Nothing major or hard about it.

Re: Need Help!!!!
weed correct me if i am wrong...but since the sprint rom is an EXE file...once he has activesync going....all he needs to do is run the exe on the pc and it will load to the 67 via activesync

Re: Need Help!!!!
installing active sync only puts in the drivers that the rom updater needs to talk to the phone. the application Activesync has nothing to do with the Rom updater & is actuallly temprarily disabled during the operation of the rom updater app.

Re: Need Help!!!!
I was referring since you need activesync to connect the 67 to the pc..when running the sprint rom exe....since the sprint rom exe...has it own bootloader there is no need to put the phone in a bootloader position, but you still need activesync to have a connection between the pc and the 67 first before running the exe.

Re: Need Help!!!!
I dont not have Sprint but rather VZW so I do not know if Sprints ROM will automatically place the phone in BL mode but assumed it was like every other ROM ive ever loaded and needed to be in BL mode first to start the prep for writing the new ROM to the phone. I guess worse case is you dont put in in BL mode and try to run the ROM and see what you get. It either will work or it will not work. If it does then great and proceeed. If it doesnt work then you know you need to place it in BL mode first and then proceed. Good question on that though.
