Couple of options:
Blade (TrianglePowers) is currently developing such an application roughly based on the Palm version (Directory Assistant). Get it HERE  The others are of course websites like http://wap.4info.net/, etc I just tried Blade's app and although it's large (send to your storage card!, shrink it with UPX) and takes a few seconds to load, once it's going it works very well. You can even choose your default browser (Opera for me). Nice app.

Nice program listing Malesta. I am going to check that out. We do lots of travel for business and dog shows, that will come in handy for finding the local watering holes.

Google does do what you want...
example: Home Depot in Seattle, WA This returns all Home Depots in Seattle with address, phone and how many miles away from you they are. The mileage thing it usually pretty messed up though. I think with the example, it grabs a centralized spot in Seattle and tells you how far away from that spot the locations are. But the address and phone are usually what I am looking for.
