Re: Complaints About Apache. RANT Here.

ya i went to cricket when AT&T went digital and there "nice tower they put up when i complained" was no longer compatibule ie i lost service wich really angered me crickets cheaper and it gets service where i need it too tho on vacations its useless. and as for the phone it worked fine back when i used it on alltel before i started editing stuff now i flashed to this new 6.1 kitchen seems nice only issue was a task manager and ofcorse mms not working. i've not been able to fix this issue and i've tried about 30 forum topics on the issue. its gotta be some kinda registery or something tho the phones nice i have a touch i was going to flash but never got around too it. got it free bad ESN but will work fine with another provider but i happen to like this one better i dislike that onscreen keeyboard the touch uses.

hopefully i can find someone good with cricket to sort this issue but its looking like its gonna need to go back to an older rom now being 2+weeks with no mms

Re: Complaints About Apache. RANT Here.

Sure that is true. I love Alltel because I can go out to the boonies and still be able to make calls without roaming. And yes service providers do have there best and worst areas. One example is my grandparents location. They live in Kearny Az and they to have Alltel, some family are idiots and have sprint which DOESEN'T work and verizon which works but keeps switching in and out of service. Alltel is the provider that work and has NEVER dropped a call there. Now in Mammoth it barely works. I'm not saying Alltel is perfect but over all providers I would choose Alltel. As for going overseas At&t or T-Mobile I wouldn't know who to choose.

Re: Complaints About Apache. RANT Here.

apache user from new zealand here, before getting an apache, i never had any prior experience with a pocket pc phone or flashing a rom. searched google, came across this site and flashed with helmi's wm6 rom and no problems at all and have since flashed a few more times adding all sorts of ppc software. couldnt believe how easy it was.

my only gripe is the ridiculous speaker! can barely use it to play any kind of music. too tinny and very screechy. whats the volume and quality on the mogul/6800 like? lovin touch screen pocket pc but the volume thing might mean i go back to a smartphone or phone eg a nokia n95. theme customisations seem to be so much easier on a ppc phone though

Trying not to highjack this thread, but - Does Alltel charge you roam? On my Sprint plan you can roam data and voice on Alltel at no additional cost.

To keep up the rant theme, I wish the bleeping joystick nib would stay in and it would have been nice of them to have kept the original LED rather than switching to the blue.

Re: Complaints About Apache. RANT Here.

Since I'm only 17 I have to ue alltels Uprepaid service which to my surprise they let me use a data phone on it. (i bought it used) I pay a 1.00 a day and that gets me unlimited txt, M 2 M and nights and weekends. just about everybody, not all though has alltel so its the best deal for me. Calls during the week day are only 10c a minute. which compared to other prepaid services I'm saving. I pay 5.99 a month for internet and it counts 10c a minute on week days but after nine and on weekends it unlimeted. As for roaming I have my phone set to Home service only. So I can't answer your question. They said if my roaming indicator is blinking I'm not charged but if its on and not blinking I'm charged 59c extra.

I HAVE A RANT! My apaches d-pad will not stop getting jammed in! 6 times it has happened and sprint won't give me an upgrade after paying 7 dolloars a month for a year
