No USB tethering after 3.3

I have searched and searched and tried everything I could think of before posting. When I try to tether my 6700 will not show a connection. If there is a current data session in progress, I will see the connection light in "Wireless Modem" but when I click on 'start' it tells me to end the current data call first. If I do that then the phone will not initiate its own data connection from within WModem. My PC just keeps telling me that there is no dial tone.
The problem definately seems to be coming from the phone, not the PC. I have re-flashed, soft reset, hard reset, and started all over. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Brian

maybe try disabling your pc modem. it may be trying that modem instead. pm me if you need directions on doing that.

Thanks, I got it working. Seems that rebooting my laptop was the solution.

Thanks again.

I didn't update to 3.3, but my tethering has been non-existing for about a month now. Everytime I try I get the same message "please end data call first." What is the deal with this thing? Even when I check the settings and re-do the IOTA it doesn't do anything. Any suggestions?
