I need Verizon 800 number please...

Sup Folks, anybody knows the 800 equivalent for the *228 for Verizon?

I think this number is use to program your phone or some'n to get the right settings for Verizon. I upgraded to Colnel's 3.3 and PST from Sprint PCS ran a little bit and now it kind of messed up some of the hardcore settings in my phone which I can't find where to reverse it. The only thing I can think of is the *228 number but my phone won't recognize that number. Therefore, I need the 800 number of that *228.

Thanks.

I thought you could dial *22801 or *22802 or something like that to force a connection to one of the carriers. Maybe I'm imagining that...thought I'd read something about that awhile back.

vboyz, you mean that reflashing the official complete Verizon ROM from UTStarcom's web site and then hard resetting didn't fix your problem?

@haus -

Nope didn't fix it...the PST screwed it up pretty badly, even now my carrier name is VZW instead of Verizon like it used to be.

Ok thanks Haus, I dialed *22802 and did Option 1 and it said can't program phone, hung up and redialed and did option 2 and success. Hung up and then call back and did option 1 and everything back to normal now except the carrier is VZW but no biggie.

There is no 800 number equivalent to *228. With all vzw pda's it is recommended you do *22899 so it can centralize the programming around your data features for you pda. If OTA keeps failing you should hard reset or try in another area because if you are hitting another tower that is not vzw it will fail. If you keep having problem call the technical support line. 800-922-0204. FYI if you tell them you have 3.3 custom ROM they will not support it since it is not an official software for the phone yet. You will need to have your phone with the 2.2 on it. Hope this helps and good luck.

*228 works fine for me. Just make sure you have SmartDial turned on.

HELP

I did the same, (accidentally ran a sprint radio rom and sprint extended rom w/ autorun on XV6700) and none of the *228, *22801, *22802, or *22899 work, but *2 gets me to a sprint rep I have ran the official Verizon flash from UTStarcomm, and hard reset numerous times. Am I totally hosed?
