infrared lens pushed in?

My infrared lens got pushed in some how?

Wondering if there is someone that has dealt with this and can inform me of any quick fixes, short of pulling the device apart to get it back to normal?

No insurance, so I cant just take it back and ask for a new one?.plus I have a pre april 2006 one (I think was the magic time frame)

What is the benefit of the pre april 2006 models? I keep reading there is a difference but I have never seen the details of the benefits of having a model manufactured before this date?

Also what are they charging for the insurance on the xv6700 (when asked this time, I instantly declined as I have dealt with them before and I got the shaft twice instead of just once in the transaction because of a technicality!!

Couldn?t determine from these pics the mode that the lens is secured, and was hoping someone else could give me some pointers from experience.

Ive heard of many people having this problem. At this point if you cant fix it yourself all you can do is call tech support and they will replace the phone for you. It is considered a defect if there is not physical damage.
