Wow, ok, i know i am not that young (about to be 29 to be exact ) and as far as i know HAL means hardware abstract layer and i still dont see what you guys are talking bout. the only different thing i noticed was whenever i soft reset the ppc says all systems functional like theres a self check being run. Please explain as this is interesting and i love to learn.

I think Colonel is reverting back to his movie days with that last build, with all the HAL references... best way to explain is to see the link below about what colonel's HAL was.

I apologize for sending this thread off in a tangent... a moderator probably should delete this fluff

It's one of the best films ever made, naigaboy--truly an epic, but it will test your patience and sanity. After it's over though you will feel like you've been shown something wonderful.

It was on HDNET last year so I recorded it in HD--glorious!!!!

do i drop in both now and install?
what is the ms anyway since i never touched it. should it be reflashed all the time too?

can't use gotomyPC

I didn't flash the latest ROM. I dont want to experiment anymore I'm happy with 3.3 Beta 2. My XV6700 has never been so fast and so stable. Great work Colonel.

My problem is that since flashing (I think) I have not been able to download the executable using gotomyPC. Does anybody else use gotomyPC? Have you had any problems? TIA

badwolf, the ms.nbf is the ExtRom. These two are packaged to do an auto customization of the ExtRom for different carriers. If you just want an nk.nbf, wait till this evening.

naigaboy, they were in the Sprint customiztion cab. I will post them later. I just replaced the PhoneOff.wav and PhoneOn.wav with different, smaller files.

jrs, not sure about gotomypc. When you say "download the exectuable" do you mean that it won't run or are you not able to access certain things?

Should have a 3.5 soon. You can flash the ms.nbf everytime, but you do not need to. For instance, while I am testing a rom, I flash the nk.nbf(rom) and a blank ms.nbf(ExtRom). This allows me to test the rom without dealing with customizations. I can then just flash the nk.nbf as many times as I want without flashing any ms.nbf because the ExtRom is not affected by the flashing. Then when I have a rom I want to use, I flash the nk.nbf and whichever ms.nbf I want to use. The same logic applies to the radio.nbf.

That was going to be my last resort, but it was almost 3 in the morning and i didnt feel like going through all those cabs to find it. i figured easier for me to get those files. will get it later though. I have been reading and know that sfaure03 has a 3.5 version of your rom out and I was going to try it, but will prefer to wait for your own official version as i trust it will have its own bells and whistles. Also helmi_c put up a smart dialer that is supposed to be supported by the 3.5 AKU since the one we have is not supported by it. Are you releasing 3.5 tonight or still working some things out?
