Hell yes! Really gettin' jazzed about this kitchen thing! Cooked one rom that worked beautifully and another that didn't boot.

On the working one the ExtRom didn't execute but I think it was a file attribute problem... No biggie there.

Gonna start fresh tonight though with your newest ROM and pull out what I don't want. That worked for me until I (apparently) pulled out something it needs...

Thanks! Looking forward to it.

BTW: Is there some HOWTO somewhere on using files from a ROM dump and making modules with them?

One more question; how easy and/or doable is it to dump a device and use some of the proggies from that device's ROM?
Case in point; the Remote Control proggie on a Samsung i730 is NICE! I want to add it to my 6700 ROM. Can that be done?

Thanks!

I deleted all 3 dll files at first, then i tried them in combinations and then with each one. I ended up finding out i was more comfortable with the qct and sdmemory being deleted. phone was more stable and fuctioned better with all my programs. For some reason, i cant find the post that said what each of them did. it was still stable just with the sdmemory deleted though. so thats a safe choice.

How come my MSL will not work in the phone app now. It tries to dial the ## number.
The MSL number will still work when entered in the ##775 screen.

the answer to ur question is u have to remove the custom dialer that was installed it will cause problems with ## codes
Pardon my ignorance, but how do I accomplish this?

go to remove programs and check if it shows up in there, if it does remove it and you should have the original back. Or better yet let colonel answer this as he knows exactly where he put it. I dont have beta2 installed yet so i cant tell exactly where it is installed.

BTW colonel i checked out the phone skin, it was close to what i had originally, but still light. Also i prefer the one i have cos it has bigger touch pads and bigger picture. i think i saw someone with the same smartdial prob, going to read up on it and see if i can fix that for you.

Love the beta!

Had one small problem. On the first attempt the contacts application wouldn't launch when selected. It wouldn't sync either. A simple hard reset and everything worked.

Thanks for the effort, this is great!

I'm on XV6700 with beta2
The problem we are having with Iguidance is when it is in full screen, if u touch the screen or try to make any adjustments, it crashes. Try that on yours cos so far you the only person that hasnt had any probs. I never had a prob w/ BT turning itself of any 3.3's.
I use iGuidance for work everyday don't have any problem in full screen or any mode. I have iGuindance 3.01 installed on SC.

Don't you know how to get to work by now?

When I looked on their website all I saw was a product that looks like TomTom and nothing to be loaded on the PPC. Is this something you use on the PPC or a stand alone unit? If a stand alone unit does it plug into the PPC? How exactly does it work?

Thanx

Haven't really gotten to check this out, but since installing this PPC is running really smooth, even though my avail RAM is 19. Only thing I installed extra was CityID/SKTools. Before I was running at least 27 RAM free and was not running this smooth at all. Guess I'm a happy camper for now!

The Beta 2 ROM is spledid! Awsome work colonel. All the extra goodies and the smoothness of the ROM overall is just brilliant. I really hate Sprint for not releasing this into the wild sooner... ah well though, I'm a sucker and I'll have the HTC Titan ( PPC 6800 ) as soon as it comes out most likely.

On to the problems side, aside from the bluetooth not staying synced from the BT Toggle ( to listen to music and play SNES/NES emulators at work here at Sprint... shhhh :P ) and the SD card coming unsynced every once in awhile, all is good. Although perhaps you've already solved these problems so I'll read around when I have a bit more time. Just wanted to say how pleased I am before I go to work.
