I live in PHX too and wondered this as well. However, if you ever travel outside of MST and want to update your clock to the new timezone while you are out of town (something I frequently do) you will need this patch.

It doesn't create any problem by having it so the more appropriate question is not why add it but why not.

In this case it's better to have it done so you'll never have to worry about it.

All future roms from manufacturers and/or sp's will incorporate the fix.

_setup.xml is your answer

If you open the CAB in WinRAR you can extract the _setup.xml.

In that file should be all the REG entries in plain text format...

OK, just trying to get a good idea of whats goin on here

Lets say I have a Naked or Base Rom(with fixes/tweaks) and I would like to add on various programs/apps so I wont have to go and install them manually after every hard reset....

is this possible?

4 Door Skyline, use the Rom Kitchen. Create modules for your apps. This is what I'm doing.

I agree with Bushrod, learn how to use the rom kitchen. It is great for people just starting out. Soon, hopefully, there will be a good assortment of modules that will allow people to add apps as they choose. I think this will really take off once the ftp is set up and maybe we can get the Wiki going.

OK, So, let me ask you something, Lets say I have some programs (like the palm threading) that I would like to add, BUT it isnt available on the modules (area?)

What would I do then, I was kind of reading thru it last nite and was a little intimidated by it. I think Im going to hold off building my own until a good Wiki is made, I really cant afford to be without service for more than a sunday
