PPC-6700 not compatible w/ SERO?

I just opened a line with Sprint. The plan is the $30 SERO plan. My original order was with the 6800 (Mogul) then I was informed that the phone was on backorder. Not really wanting to wait I changed to the free phone, because I had my Apache sitting in my room. I called Sprint and after the whole hoopla they were unable to activate my Apache on the SERO Plan. They said that the Plan and Phone are not compatible with one another and that I needed to change either or. Is this true? I know many of you guys/girls are on the 6700 and on the SERO plan. Anyone else run into this problem? Any suggestions on getting my Apache Activated?
