Sigh... ok for troubleshooting, I'd like to do this as well... anyone have any radio firmware version pre 1.27 (1.12 is the one before it, I believe)

Possible it's PRI 1.19 vs 1.18 that's the problem as well, but let's try the radio first

Or put another way, what versions do folks have (Sprint) for
Radio firmware
PRI

Mine is 1.27.00 (Radio) and 1.19_003 (PRI)
Old versions were 1.12 and 1.18_003 - I know I can downgrade to PRI 1.18_003 (well maybe!) via http://ppcgeeks.com/sprint-onlyppc-6...ring+thru.html but I'm not sure where to track down an older radio version.

Thanks!

I tracked down radio 1.12, (its in the Sprint AKU2.0 update on the UTStarCom site) but for some reason, the manual flasher procedure I used before Isn't working now

I tried to do the same thing I did when I flashed to 1.27
http://ppcgeeks.com/update-bit-by-bit-can-we-t2199.html

What's happening is, it's never reading the device. I'm doing exactly the same thing I did before... just no joy.

I put it into bootloader, and the MaUpdateUt_noID.exe runs, looks for my device, and never finds anything. Gaaaa...

Just tried USB sync, that's still working, so low level USB stuff is fine.

Any thoughts there?

i have been having this issue for 3-4 months. came out of the blue.. does this all over the US (i travel alot and locatino seems to not be the issue) . i have verizon and have never upgraded the rom from when i bought it last march so i still have rom number 1. i have tried deleting the connection and re estabilishing it and that worked well in the beginning but nothing seems to work . hard resets wont fix it. i fear that maybe when i use spb backup i am restroring the issue. i am thinking about trying wideawakes rom bc i cant see what i have to lose and i hear that it is screaming fast.

i have insurance and am thinking that i should trade in the phone but i think i have seen people still have the problem after a phone swap.

my wifes phone is the same model and doesnt do this at all. people say that turning the radio off over night helps but that is not a true fix.

Heh.... yeah. Now I don't know. Yesterday, the thing was driving me crazy. Today, it's been rock solid fine.

Just the threat of reflashing the radio firmware scared it back into submission. I will go back to monitoring it to see if there is any pattern.

Interesting that it happens on both VZ and Sprint.

Yeah there are threads on this at pdaphone home but the problem is not wide spread enough for people to talk about it enough for a solid solution to have been found.
