can't get WDMC to recognize 6700 on Vista

Hi there. I have a PPC 6700 loaded with WM6. I can hook it up to my pc that has XP and it syncs up just fine, no problems, I can access all the files, etc. However, when I hook it up to my Vista computer, I can't get WDMC to recognize it. It just says Not Connected. I've tried everything I can think of to get this to work. I'm getting rid of my XP machine soon so I need to figure out how to get this to work with Vista or no more goodies for me.

EDIT: Ok, so I spent most of the day with Alltel tech support and they can't even figure out how to get it working. Anyone have any ideas? I'm desperate here.
