sorry but need help

a while back i read a post that told how to backup contacts without active sync and had the word pim.vol in it. i created that but didn't finish. my phone had to be hard reset and that is the only hope of getting my contacts back since active sync has a mind of its own. help finding that thread is priceless. thanks.

Unfortunately you needed to save a copy of pim.vol BEFORE you hard reset. This file contains your contact, calendar, etc. data.

Got any backup files on your SD card?

Sorry,

If you can copy the pim.vol file from your pc over to the root directory of your ppc, you're golden.

Start an A/S session with the pc/ppc. Tap "explore" on the A/S panel, drag and drop the pim/vol file onto the panel that opens showing the root directory of your ppc.
