need help activating referb'ed 6700

just got a"new" old 6700 from Insurance co

Long story short,pulled battery out ,put in new 6700 nothing happened.

Wanted to call Verison,put batt in old phone, same same, it's also dead

Please advise

plugged into AC ,both phones blink red.

What did I do wrong?


I'm in the AZ Desert ,far from home, with no other comm except my air card on my laptop

sounds like the battery is junk.....what happened to the old phone to get another one from the insurance...did you drop it in water??

no I just took it out of the old 6700 (stylus function went bad, would not sync) the phone worked until I switched.

AAs a second thought, I didn't turn off the old phone when I took the batt out.

I wonder if that did something, I plugged into AC and it still won't work, neither one

Try getting a new battery if you have a bad one the phone wont turn on and if you plug it in without a battery it wont turn on either.

Well, it may be sheer coincidence. I'd replace that battery though.

I'll go to a Verizon store tomorrow and have them do what needs to be done.

I just needed a regular phone this evening, since it isn't gonna happen, I'll just have to wait 'til tomorrow.
