Trouble with constant no modem found, etc?

I've pretty much spend the day installing reinstalling and testing this out and I think I got it down. I just hope someone else that know what these files mean can fine tune what I found out or explain a little more in detail. I've been reading like crazy over at the xda forums.

Now every time I install all my basic apps and don't run certain ones, I can connect to the internet disconnect connect no problems. Now when I run Memaid or SKtools and do a registry clean up that goes away. I start getting the no modem found, etc. I'm sure if your having this problem you know the msgs. Might connect for 30 secs or so if your lucky a few minutes to update an app like pocket weather.
What I found was the IOTA cert files and reg files where coming up invalid, broken not needed thus being cleaned or wiped out by me. Some of the files I verified was missing by just checking the program directory folder. I decided to rerun the two extended rom cabs with IOTA in them, soft reset and see what happened. Viola internet connection is as good as gold. Can connect disconnect as many times with no need to reset or turn radio off and on. And all the IOTA files registry entries that were cleaned up are back in place.

apps I have installed during this testing.

ppcgeeks custom rom with telus screen
prl 25
wisbar advance 2
wisbar desktop
CityID
total cmdr
sktools
memaid
btaudio
pocket weather
virtual earth
phm regedit
magicall

Hope this helps someone else out. I'll post when I get on my MAC the IOTA files and reg entries that seem to keep me up and working. I have done this test atleast 5 times after finding this out and same outcomes. Was long but worth it now as the two hours I spent witb advance vision support didn't solve jack.
