xv6700 won't load past Windows Mobile

Have a xv6700 running Mobile-6. It's stops at the "Windows Mobile" kinda green/blue screen.

Haven't loaded anything new. Did a softreset on the bottom, and wont boot now fully.

The phones been working fine for a few months. I'd hate to lose my data, if I can somehow keep it.

Thanks for your help.

If you did any type of reset or power off then on with the phone pluged into the usb cable these a good chance a hard reset is needed. It happened to me more than one time. It's posted in other threds on this board. People stuck on splash. Hope this helps if you find a fix for this please post.

Same here... If activesync is still running on my Apache, even after "pulling the (USB) plug" for 10 minutes, removing the battery or a soft reset will cause it to need a hard reset after being stuck on the WM6 screen (possibly for hours).

I'd love to see a cure for this. ATM I make sure I "Stop All" before changing the battery or doing a soft reset.

My past experience with this issue ended up with a Hard Reset ...

Re: xv6700 won't load past Windows Mobile

At some point, many of us have had this type of problem that surfaced out of the blue on a phone that had been working without a problem for some time.

My suggested or of troubleshooting:

Soft Reset.

Pull the battery and then reboot. I currently have a persistent problem that only allows the phone to recover this way.

If that fails to permit booting, next try the hard reset.

If that fails, a new ROM upload would be my next step. I would make it a minimal load so that you can get your phone "working". I would then go back to a more complete load (you do save your kitchen selections, don't you?)

I believe this happens because some application causes a problem in the registry that prevents one or more critical services from starting up.
