Adding CF 2.0 fixed the live search issue for me too....kind of stinks that you need CF 2.0, even installing it on the storage card still takes away about 5 mb from main memory.

Anybody determine if 3.3 hurts battery life yet? My data connection indicators are always white (which used to mean active) and never grey (used to mean inactive). I am wondering if it is just always white now regardless.

The only thing I can get to sync with this is notes, everything gives me an error that there's not enough memory on the device even though the memory(storage) is almost 90% free....can't sync contacts and that sux and when I try to open contacts (even though theres nothing there) it just flashes back to the today screen

That means you either (1) didn't do a hard reset after you flashed or
(2) tried to copy pim.vol from the 2.2 version - both will give that error
You need to do a hard reset, then restore from activesync (assuming you backed up via activesync, which I sure hope is true!)

Uh hey all, lost in all the joy is a couple of issues...

(1) Bluetooth DUN/PAN - I cannot figure out how to make PAN work... anyone else have any luck here? and...

(2) Using USB connection for tethering/phone as modem - for some reason I *do* have the "wireless modem" app (in the rom, no less) in the \windows folder. This app seems to be the same as with 2.x - USB tethering works fine (yay - that's pretty important) but Bluetooth does not.

(3) just to make sure basic BT stuff works, my BT Headset works (listening to car talk right now with it ) and I can sync via BT to my desktop, so it's working.

So, anyone care/know how to make PAN work?

Schettj,

USB tethering is unaffected. You cannot get Bluetooth to work because the app that sets up the PAN is missing.

I will do this, but Mike... have you had to install CF 2.0 (I know how much you hate it)? or do you just not run Windows Live Search?

I don't run live search and haven't installed 2.0 because I hate it. battery life seems about the same and even tho they are always white its not always connected it may be dormant.
