You should have done more research before trying something like a ROM flash. Try putting the device into boot loader with the power+camera+reset+buttons then flash your OEM rom. Then update your HARD_SPL your radio and your ROM.

Re: upgrade to wm6 EXTREME problems!

Hence my point to not be jumpy at doing something that will potentially brick your very $$$$ device.

Try HTC's website for a official ROM. Boot into boot loader a stated. Then run the OEM ROM. Then you will need to look on here and get the HARD_SPL or knwon as a 2X boot loader. I think helmi rom is a 3x rom if so you need the 3x HARD_SPL an SPL is the boot loader utility and unlocker upgrade. Then 3x version ROM's require a 3x radio upgrade not sure on the apache about that. If the ROM is a 2x you can use a 2x radio and 1x unlocker. You can check what version you are running on your phone under personal tab on your ppc after you get it running again with the OEM ROM.

Re: upgrade to wm6 EXTREME problems!

ok, well thank you so much for trying to help, but its fixed... i think its becuase it was dead. it would do the splash screen over and over if it was plugged in, now, its been plugged in for a while and just started up with my wm6. thank you anyway. but if you could look at my other post about the vista problem with the wm6 kitchen it would be great.

No need to upgrade radio, and only do your BL (Hard spl) if you have a version earlier than v1.02 (v1.02 is fine) AND you are using Vista (for XP, v1.00 is fine).

There is known issue with booting the PPC while connected via USB. Just unplug before you reset and you should be ok.
