bluetooh devices

hey everyone is there a way for the ppc to store a device's name after pairing or sending something to it instead of searching each time to send something? please and thank you.

yes, as long as you have synched with them via bluetooth. you both have to turn on bluetooth, and then at the same time search. default passcode should be 0000 all four zero's. once you do that, you can see that persons device in the futur and you both should be able to connect.

well what are you trying to do? your question was about saving their names. you should be able to beam pics and music to most devices.

i know that. but do u know how the moto razr when u want to send something the menu would come up showing your recent devices u connected with. the above those then it will ask if u wanna search for device. i was wondering if there was a software or a way to get the ppc to do that.

not sure bigbuddy, on my ppc6700, it always just shows the devices that I have connected with and thats it. i rarely ever reconnect with anyone, always did it just messing around. i will look into what you are talking about and get back to you.

I find the bluetooth feature between phones quite cheezy.

My 6700 and my sisters moto razr. I can send contact information to her, phone recognizes and receives but does not update the contact list. She can send me contact information and my phone recognizes, receives and updates my contacts accordingly.

Now that's where it ends. Neither phone can send any type of content to one another. Under my bluetooth options I only have 'dial up connection' under the moto razr profile saved on my 6700. No option to even edit what type of partnerships between phones.

Therefore I find it quite useless to beam anything except contacts from her phone and that's it.
