where do you put tones for email alerts

i put it in app data/sounds but it doesnt show up in the drop down menu in notications.

go to file explorer, my device, windows. put them anywhere in the windows folder. i scroll all the way down and paste it at the bottom. thats where mine are and they work just fine.

i tried that it didnt work either.
