Locks up everytime!

alright, everytime i unplug my ppc-6700 from the wall or the computer it locks up. if i soft reboot it, it will work for maybe a minute before it locks up again. it did it with the wm6 update and its still doing it with the kitchen update too also. anybody got any ideas?

Everytime you unplug it from the wall?

That sounds a lot like a hardware issue. Load a stock rom, and see if you still have this problem.

yea it does it everytime it doesnt have power coming from another source. i think it may be the battery but not completely sure because the screen will stay lit up when it locks up. i just got the phone from my buddy who used it for a week and then his wife got him a 6800 for his bday. when he had it, it worked fine. i got it and it started this nonsense. it did it without wm6, with wm6, and then with kitchen.

My PPC had similar problems I think it was a conflict between programs. I hard reset the phone and didnt let the sprint cabs install and havent had a problem since.

To bypass the sprint cabs, hard reset, then soft reset as soon as you see the "Customizing in 3..2..1" message.

If you have flashed back to the stock Sprint ROM and the problem still occurs, then I agree with gguru...you've likely got a hardware issue. Bring it into a repair center (with the stock ROM) and have it checked out.

no luck with it. sprint ordered up a new one, hoepfully it works.
